> These ten studies were made on identical pairs of digital printed photographs. In half of them, Nina Rodin painted one of them and Sarah Knill Jones copied her in real time. In the other half, Sarah Knill Jones and Nina Rodin swapped places. In all cases, the photos reference the materiality of Paint. In all cases, Rodin and Knill-Jones consciously reference different abstract expressionist painters, collated on a Pinterest board by Nina Rodin.
